The reach overview
for the Pitt River provides a compilation of the reach’s ecological
and human features and functions. The overview is intended as a
planning and educational tool for use by municipal planners, developers,
academics, land owners, agency staff, non-governmental organizations,
and members of the public with an interest in the Pitt River.
The reach overview is primarily a compilation of biophysical and
socioeconomic information, ackno
wledging that natural and human uses are both occurring in the
reach and that there are linkages between biological, physical and
human processes. Also provided is a brief assessment of the areas
likely to experience significant change over the coming years, along
with analysis of the linkages between the different land use plans
in place.
This document contains a number of maps developed by FREMP, as
well as other web-based documents such as Official Community Plans.
