> Fraser River Fest
This festival
is held every June at the Deas Island Park. It celebrates British
Columbia's most important inland waterway and informs the public
about the environmental, historical and commercial importance of
the Fraser River.
Displays
by over 40 organizations explore the issues, opportunities and challenges
of Fraser River stewardship. Other activities include the presentation
of the Fraser River Festival Stewardship Award, paddlewheel rides
on the river, free hands-on craft workshops and lots of entertainment.
Last
year, the Fraser River Festival was held on Sunday June 2, 2002.
Join us next year for this great family event. It's
free and everyone is welcome!
